Tucked into Cornwall's eastern corner, the "Gateway to Cornwall", approached by either the vast spans of the suspension bridge at Saltash or the 16th Century historic stone bridge at Gunnislake, the beautiful, rolling, rugged Cornish countryside welcomes you.

Forming a boundary between the ancient rivalling factors in Cornwall and Devon the River Tamar meanders through dense woodland, open marsh expanses, steep gorged valleys, silently passing through unspoilt villages and towns, with their riverside inns, shops and market stalls, all having lived off the bounty that the river brings, some still do!

We offer a selection of Cornish self catering holiday cottages in this fantastic part of the county.

Kingsand & Cawsand

Twinned coastal villages with their own distinct characters, both having lovely beaches and an extensive bay crammed full of boats of every shape and size messing about on the water. Narrow, virtually traffic free, streets wind through the villages once famous for smuggling. Now more famous for it's unchanged beauty, the beautiful Mount Edgcumbe Country Park neighbours the villages and the Cornwall section of the South West Coast Path starts here.

Saltash

A town in the shadow of the world famous Brunel Railway Bridge built in 1859, the main gateway to Cornwall. Quaint cottages in the town, home to Mary Newman, Sir Francis Drake's first wife, to large detached riverside houses with private moorings can be found to suit all tastes in accommodation.

Callington

A small, quaint 15th century market town, nestling between the rivers Tamar and Lynher, a dramatic backdrop beyond the town of an 80ft high chimneystack topping a 1000 ft hill, nature trails and spectacular views abound.

Calstock

On the banks of the Tamar, a small village with riverside inns, dominated by a glorious viaduct that carries the picturesque Tamar valley Railway running from Gunnislake to Plymouth, nearby National Trust House of Cotehele with award winning gardens and ancient buildings.

Why not try a holiday self catering in Cornwall and experience this fantastic part of the world for yourself? A holiday cottage in Cornwall could be the solution to provide a holiday that is both relaxing and that offers something new.
